User Detail Fields (for VR Passport Accounts)

The following fields are available when creating or managing VR Passport users.

Field Description

User Name

User Names must be a valid, unique email address.


We recommend that you do not use a group email address as a User Name as this causes complexity in maintaining users. For example, if you use a group email address and one of the users in the group uses the Forgot my password feature to reset the account password, any other user using that User Name will be unable to sign in unless they are given the new password.

First Name, Last Name The user's first and last name.
Email The user's valid email address.
Phone Number The user's phone number.
Department The department the user is assigned to within the company.
Job Title The user's job title within the company.

Roles

The Roles assigned to a user grants a specific set of permissions to that user. Available roles are determined based on the applications available to you within the web console.

Users can be assigned the following roles:

  • Web Console Administrator - This role can view all pages. In addition, users with this role will be able to log in to the web console, manage their own account, access user management to manage other county user accounts, and access web console help.

VR Tower - Voting Locations And Statuses:

  • VLS Administrator - This role includes access to the VLS program. Users with this role will be able to log in to the web console, manage their own account, manage VLS settings (such as hiding wait times), and access web console help.

Election Night Results Roles:

  • Election Night Results Administrator - This role includes access to the ENR program. Users with this role will be able to log in to the web console, manage their own account, and access web console help.

Supervisor's Dashboard Roles:

  • Supervisor Dashboard - This user can access the Supervisors Dashboard program and will be able to log in to the web console, manage their own account, and access web console help.

Web Monitor Roles:

  • Web Monitor Administrator - This role includes access to the EViD Web Monitor program. Users with this role will be able to log in to the web console, manage their own account, and access web console help.

Password

When you create a new user account, you must enter a password for the user.

Passwords must:

  • Be a minimum of 8 characters.
  • Include at least 3 of the following: digit character (0-9), uppercase letter (A-Z), lowercase letter (a-z), and symbols, non digit or letter character.

When you create a new user or change a users password, the password is not sent to the user through email for security purposes; you must provide the user with their password.
